I finally have a chance to do some research into pediatric stroke. I wanted to pass along some websites that I found if anyone is interested in some more information. We were told that this is rare, but I didn't quite know what that meant until I found some statistics...pediatric stroke can occur in between 2-12 / 100,000 children. To give you a little perspective, that would be 12-72 people in the city of Boston (with a pop of about 600,000)! We have always known Ellie was unique! I have already joined a email listserve of parents of children who have suffered from pediatric strokes.

If anyone has any questions, or if you want to know anything specific about Ellie, please feel free to comment here on the blog and I will do my best to answer.
Thanks again to all for your support!
